Business Development Division
Organize annual Christmas in Cullman event held in November.
MEETINGS: Begin meeting in Summer to begin planning for Annual Event held in late Fall
Existing Business & Industry Committee
Recognize and support local industries through tours, legislative actions, seminars and other appropriate means. Organize the annual Industry Appreciation Event held in January.
MEETINGS: Meet for lunch (Noon) at the Chamber on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Hanceville Business Council
Coordinate business events, seminars and other activities for the city of Hanceville.
MEETINGS: Meet at (Noon) on the third Wednesday of each month
International Partnership Committee
Assist international companies and employees become better acclimated to local regulations and customs and to try to serve as a resource for business and social needs.
MEETINGS: Meet Quarterly for lunch (Noon) at the Chamber
Small Business Committee
Promote the economic success of small businesses through a variety of events, seminars and workshops. Organize annual Small Business Week activities held in May.
MEETINGS: Meet for breakfast at 8:00am at the Chamber on the second Tuesday of each month
Community Development Division
Education Committee
Provide additional training of our citizens to fill the voids in our work force; help reduce the high school dropout rate and adult illiteracy; and emphasize career development and the free enterprise system. Organize Student & Teacher of the Year Awards recognition.
MEETINGS: Meet for lunch (Noon) at the Chamber on the third Thursday of each month
Beautification Committee
Serve as the liaison between beautification groups, business and industry. Promote a countywide beautification effort and clean-up campaigns. Coordinate annual area beautification awards.
MEETINGS: Meet for lunch (Noon) at the Chamber on the third Friday of each month
Health Services Committee
Promote good health and education by working with various area health agencies and hospitals.
MEETINGS: Meet at 11:00 AM at the Chamber quarterly.
Finance & Administration Division
Agri-Business Committee
Promote the importance of agriculture to the Cullman area.
MEETINGS: Meets at 7:30 AM on the third Tuesday of each month.
Annual Golf Tournament
Organize and host the annual membership golf tournament.
MEETINGS: Meets in the summer to begin planning event held in the Fall.
BRAC Committee
Assist with efforts to attract relocating military and government workers affected by BRAC to the Cullman area.
MEETINGS: Meets on an as-needed basis to coordinate Town Hall meetings held in out-of-town communities affected by BRAC
Governmental Affairs Committee
Serve as the liaison between our legislators and our membership, regarding business/commerce specific issues.
MEETINGS: Meets for lunch (Noon) at the Chamber on the second Thursday of each month
Leadership Cullman County
A nine-month series of seminars and programs designed to bring together a class of 15 to 20 community leaders to examine community issues such as education, healthcare, crime, government, economic development and quality of life.
MEETINGS: Participants are selected by their companies and meet all day on the third Wednesday of each month.
Membership & Marketing Division
Chamber Blitz
Increase membership and Chamber awareness by organizing an annual campaign that involves volunteers recruiting new members.
MEETINGS: Begin planning in March for June activity
Chamber Ambassadors
Serve as goodwill ambassadors between the Chamber and new or relocated businesses. Maintains periodic contact with Chamber members to provide and receive information.
MEETINGS: Meet quarterly during the last week of the designated month
Tourism & Recreation Division
Tourism Committee
Promote tourism, recreation and retiree attraction through advertising, networking, trade shows as well as the development and distribution of marketing materials.
MEETINGS: Meet on the first Tuesday of each month.
Youth Leadership Cullman County
A nine-month series of seminars and programs designed to bring together a class of 2 high school juniors chosen from each school to examine community issues such as education, healthcare, crime, government, economic development and quality of life. |
