BUSINESS  & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Agri-Business Committee

Recognize and support agricultural industry in the community.
This Committee plans the following events: Farm Y'all Festival and the Farm to Fork Dinner.
The Agri-Business Committee meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. in the Freedom Insurance Room.

Existing Business & Industry Committee

Recognize and support local industries through tours, legislative actions, seminars and other appropriate means. This committee plans the following events: Industry Appreciation Reception, Cullman Area Reverse Business & Industry Trade Expo and Quarterly Industry Tours. 
This committee meets every 4th Tuesday of the month at noon in the Freedom Insurance Room.

Retail Committee

The Retail Committee consists of members engaged in the retail business. This committee promotes a healthy retail climate by providing a venue for promotions and communication among business owners and their employees to discuss and exchange ideas on issues unique to the retail community. The Committee plans the following retail events: Small Business of the Month, Seminars, Secret Shoppers, Paint the Town and Christmas window display contest and Hops & Shops.

Cullman Management Roundtable

Richard Lehr leads the discussion on the most current issues arising on the legislative, regulatory, judicial and organized labor fronts. The meetings are held quarterly at the Chamber of Commerce and are conducted in a conversational, interactive manner.

MEMBERSHIP & MARKETING

Chamber TRC Leadership

Increase membership and Chamber awareness by organizing an annual campaign that coordinates a 2 month volunteer effort in recruiting new members and program sponsorships.


 Chamber Ambassadors

Serve as goodwill ambassadors between the Chamber and Chamber Members. Assist with updating membership information, Chamber events, programs, ribbon cuttings, and ground breakings. If you are interested in being an Ambassador please contact Magan F. Bartlett at mbartlett@cullmanchamber.org.

Education Committee

Provide additional training of our citizens to fill the voids in our work force;
help reduce the high school dropout rate and adult illiteracy; and emphasize
career development and the free enterprise system. The Committee plans the following events: Career Awareness Fair and the State of the Schools and Student & Teacher of the Year. This committee meets every 4th Wednesday of the month in the Freedom Insurance Room. Youth Leadership

A nine-month series of seminars and programs designed to educate selected
youth participants from Cullman area high schools on community issues such
as education, healthcare, crime, government, economic development and

FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION

Governmental Affairs Committee

Serve as the liaison between our legislators and our membership, regarding business/commerce specific issues. This committee meets every 2nd Thursday of the month. This committee plans local political forums and the Montgomery Drive-In, & the Washington Fly-In. A nine-month series of seminars and programs designed to bring together a class of 15 to 20 community leaders to examine community issues such as education, healthcare, crime, government, economic development and quality of life. Preservation Committee

The Preservation Committee is dedicated to preserving the Chamber of Commerce's historic documents and photographs. for the future. The Preservation Committee meets quarterly. TOURISM & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Community Improvement Committee

Serve as the liaison between beautification groups, business & industry and area municipalities. Promote a countywide beautification effort, "clean-up" campaigns and focus on the importance of good health, wellness and education for Cullman area. This Committee plans the following events: Annual Cullman Area Tourism Awards and Community Improvement recognition programs.
