Youth Leadership

Youth Leadership Cullman County is a project created by the 1999 Leadership Class.

The program—which has impacted the lives of high school juniors in the area for more than 20 years—includes a nine-month series of seminars and programs designed to educate selected youth participants from Cullman area high schools on community issues such as education, healthcare, crime, government, economic development, and quality of life. Applicants are interviewed by a panel of judges each spring.

Adult Leadership

Leadership Cullman County is a nine-month program designed to identify, prepare, and build upon existing leadership resources throughout the community. Participants are given valuable opportunities to meet with leaders in the community to share thoughts and concerns on a variety of issues facing Cullman County. Throughout the program, participants are also given the opportunity to speak with local law enforcement, the mayor, county commissioners, and state delegation, as well as obtain valuable leadership and team-building training. Beginning each September with an opening retreat and ending in May with a graduation reception, the program’s tuition is $750 per person, including all meals, travels, and other costs associated with the program.

Ambassadors

The Cullman Chamber Ambassador Committee is compiled of business leaders who help to support the Chamber membership. These individuals are the face of the chamber and help members understand benefits, make connections at Chamber events, and welcome new member businesses at each ribbon cutting. By talking with you, the members, and meeting each month to discuss concerns, our Ambassador Committee keeps our membership at top of mind. Interested in joining the Ambassador Committee? The process for joining begins in February of each year. Candidates submit an application and go through a short interview process to be able to participate. Please email Katie Walker at kwalker@cullmanchamber.org if you have interest in joining this committee.
